Nutmeg Staff
Nutmeg Villa comes with a full staff as follows: A Chef/Cook A Butler Two (2) Housekeepers/Laundresses Two (2) Gardeners /Pool Attendants Please think of them as your staff, whilst you are here. They will be happy to do what they can to make your stay memorable.
Gratuities
It is standard practice at Jamaican villas to leave a gratuity for staff, assuming that the service has met your expectations. 10% of the rental rate in High Season (December to April) and 15% in Low Season (May to November) is the norm. We expect Nutmeg staff will work very hard to earn your appreciation and gratuities.
Food and Drink
Please budget between US$65-$75 per person per day for three meals. This does not include wine and liquor. Our cook will grocery shop for you and keep track of all items purchased and present you with the receipts during your stay. We can stock the villa with the first day’s and next day’s breakfast based on your instructions. Once you are on the island, you may discuss with the cook your meals for the remainder of your stay and shop for you every few days. Please note that to pre-stock the villa there is a $60 transportation charge for the chef to go to and from the villa to stock the villa with the grocery items.
Deposit Policy
A deposit of 25% of reservation is charged to the credit card provided at the time of booking, this secures the dates of the villa rental. Deposit policy is subject to change.
Final Payment
Final payment is due in full, less any deposits, 60 days prior arrival to the villa. Reservations made less than 60 days prior to arrival will be charged in full at the time the reservation is made.
Travel Insurance
We strongly recommend that you purchase travel insurance to cover any unforeseen circumstances.

Cancellation Policy
If a reservation is cancelled more than 60 days prior to the scheduled arrival of the guest
(1) The Full 25% deposit will be refunded
(2) The reservation is then officially cancelled
Visitors that are not guests of the villa
Visitors are allowed but aren't allowed to sleep over. If they are attending an event, ie Birthday Party etc, our venue charge is US$25 per person.

Are villas in Jamaica good for families or groups and children?
Nutmeg Villa is ideal for families and groups, offering multiple bedrooms, shared living spaces, and private amenities that make staying together easy and enjoyable. For families with children, our family has been holidaying here since they were a few months old. As long as there is constant adult supervision, especially around the pool, all should be well. There are toys, a bike and other delights to keep your kids busy.

What happens in bad weather?
You still have fun. Nutmeg Villa has plenty of board and card games, a pool table, table tennis, cable TV, and a bulging library of DVDs and Books to suit all ages. You are in the tropics, so rain does fall, but it’s usually soon gone and you are back in the sun!
Can we have a Special Event at Nutmeg Villa?
Definitely, Yes. Nutmeg has hosted hugely successful Weddings and Birthday Parties. And it also welcomes Honeymooners seeking that extra special experience, away from the crowded routine of hotel life. Nutmegs privacy also makes it a perfect small Corporate Meeting destination.
All events have to be discussed and approved.
Are Nutmeg Villa far from the Airport?
Montego Bay’s modern airport is close by. Twelve minutes and you arrive at Nutmeg. But don’t worry, your piece and quiet will not be disturbed by noisy aircraft.
Do all the Staff go home at night?
Certainly not. They are there to look after you and ensure your comfort throughout your holiday.
Do we need to bring Jamaican currency?
If you want to, but US$ are readily accepted at most stores and other currencies can easily be exchanged at our local Money Changers, probably at a better rate than you would get elsewhere.
Can you cope with special dietary needs at Nutmeg Villa?
Nutmeg’s Chef will work with you to provide the food that you most like to eat. Be sure to give us advanced notice of what your needs are and we will do everything possible to meet them. Are pets welcome at Nutmeg? Probably not. Quarantine laws are enforced on the Island and Nutmeg’s own dogs are always around the estate.
